Till August 20th, the Californian gallery The Hole welcomes six new sculptures signed by the artist Adam Parker, by way of the exhibition “Crush”. Conceived because of 3D modeling and the famous Carrara marble, these cubes of 1 meter by one meter evoke nice figures of classical sculpture, such because the Apollo of Belvedere, Cupid triumphant, or the David by Bernini. Classical figures which were compacted, as a trash can would have been in a trash compactor, as the artist Caesar would have finished. A tour de pressure made attainable by the collaboration of the artist with a workforce of grasp sculptors, but in addition the one answerable for the digital research of the Uffizi Museum. Works tinged with humor that query our relationship to authenticity within the art world.
