The type of the young designer, a graduate of the ESAD in Reims and the Design Faculty Academy of Eindhoven, is way faraway from the economic rigidity that has come to characterize 20th-century design. To serve her imaginative and prescient, Léa Mestres has taken on a regular basis objects and turned them into real sculptures with delicate and enveloping varieties. At her newest group present, “Sisters-Sisters,” held on the SCENE OUVERTE Gallery, the younger lady delighted us together with her line of lamps, “Longing for plaster,” where she related this material used on the planet of development with radiant acid colors. To those unimaginable creatures, we will add the collection “Bubble,” asymmetrical and curvaceous, with its unimaginable silver bench, but in addition its “Bubble stool” in marble, and the lamp, “Babette,” in bronze.&
