Speculative area

After Cosmodrome, introduced on the Consortium de Dijon in 2001, Chronotypes & Dioramas, proven on the Dia Art Basis in New York in 2009, Pynchon Park (MAAT Lisbon, 2017), and Martian Goals Ensemble (GFZK, Leipzig, 2018), Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster unveils at the Serpentine Galleries her latest phantasmagorical opus, more psychedelic and wacky than ever: Alienarium 5. Continuing her visual and fictional extrapolations on interstellar area and extraterrestrial life, the experimental artist (born in 1965 in Strasbourg) has conceived a spectacular, speculative area propelling us into a new narrative dimension. A “mutant place” and augmented, composed particularly of an immersive 360-degree collage annihilating the bounds of area and time, entitled Metapanorama, meant to deliver collectively humans and aliens. By way of digital reality, we will even be given the opportunity to stay an alien incarnation, or much more if affinity, in a fertile atemporality… Welcome to the “between world”…
