Structure, inside decoration, design, artwork path, scenography… For the Sicilian Elisa Ossino, the strategy to design is multiple. Because the creation of her Milanese studio in 2006, she has developed a method that plays on contrasts. Geometric and lightweight strains confront the depth of monochrome buildings. Each creation is the results of a meticulous research of measurements. The result's a last composition through which the furnishings and objects created resonate with the area around them. Elisa Ossino attracts her inspiration for this idea of quantity from artwork. In the metaphysical geometry of artists, akin to Giorgio De Chirico, and within the chiaroscuro of Caravaggio’s paintings.
Between inside design and furnishings creation, the Italian continued her journey in design by co-founding the clay tile brand H+O in 2019. Conceived alongside designer Josephine Akvama Hoffmeyer, this multidisciplinary venture also explores new methods of up to date dwelling by means of the design of surfaces and the scenography of multi-arts exhibitions. And all the time with that signature look, outlined against this. Where lightness confronts depth. Where drama embraces poetry.
