The Jeu de Paume inaugurates its first pageant, beneath the curation of Béatrice Gross and the inventive recommendation of Katinka Bock. Senses mingle with narratives, from Julien Bismuth to David Levine. Metaphors materialize with Nina Beier. The shocking emerges from the waste with Diane Severin Nguyen. Analysis opens the best way to a fact forgotten within the photographs of history with Euridice Zaituna Kala. Entitled “Fata Morgana,” evoking a mixture of mirages, the program thus summons the image beyond images and movie, which it extends by questioning its prospects of existence.
