It all started with an actual crush: that of Prune Merlin, but in addition of her mom, her sister, and her aunt, for Ortigia, a tiny island within the extension of Syracuse, dealing with Mount Etna.
Then together they fell underneath the spell of one of many palazzinos, its blonde stone partitions, its shady courtyard, its rooftop with a sea view. Relatively than making it their family trip residence, their first concept, Prune determined to rework it into an intimate lodge. She did the ornament herself with the perfect native craftsmen.
The end result: a joyful patchwork of colors, patterns, supplies, and souvenirs. A real invitation to journey! Lùme (“glow” in Italian) opened final summer time with six rooms and suites, some with a terrace. And Prune entrusted the keys to her cousin Hanawa and her companion Ronan. A wonderful story of household and keenness.
