Based mostly in Antwerp, this couple of designers, each on stage and off, have managed to merge their skills. While Kathleen Opdenacker’s strategy is rooted in graphic design, a style for materials and a way of element, Jef De Brabander is extra oriented in the direction of industrial engineering, in-depth technical information, and craftsmanship. A cheerful union from which intense and colourful creations have emerged, beginning with the “Type” vary, a set of tables and stools, all born from a cylindrical form in bent wooden, which has been enlarged, contracted, minimize in half or multiplied. In one other genre, the “FINITE INFINITE” collection is inspired by three abandoned buildings with robust architectural silhouettes. Geometries highlighted by the mirror and polished metal, suggesting infinity.
