It is in the Mallorcan mountains, surrounded by thousand-year-old olive timber, that Olive Homes is humbly hidden. An architectural challenge that appears formed by the encompassing nature. But it is indeed human work, that of the Spanish-Danish duo Mar Plus Ask. Amazed by the tranquility of this panorama, the studio imagined this residence in 2019 to host architects, artists, and writers looking for a refuge of serenity.

Constructed on the stone foundations of previous buildings, Olive Homes is a block of two homes that focuses on the necessities. The ornament is predicated simply on coloured stucco and characterizes every of the homes. The pink tones for one and purple for the other recall the darkish aspect of the olive leaves and create a symbiosis between nature and development. The Pink House, which houses the bedrooms and baths, embraces the rock formations of the land, making them appear as the one decorative parts. Right here, home windows and doorways are virtually absent, in order that our gaze is all the time on nature. The Purple House, then again, homes the kitchen and bogs and follows the identical rules of unity with the intoxicating nature.

Mas Plus Ask imagines Olive Homes as the manifesto of an architecture turned to nature. Preserved and respected, it becomes itself an absolute component to the constructing, as as soon as was the cave for the primary males.&
