Founded by Patisandhika Sidarta and Tommy Sandjaja, the Indonesian architectural firm SAS has set itself the target of giving start to a up to date architectural language, with the local context as a recurring start line.
A selection that manifests itself within the number of materials, cultural evocations, but in addition by means of the valorization of native artwork. An strategy that minimizes the environmental impression of their studio and optimizes the power efficiency of their tasks.
Their next venture is none aside from the Kenderan Landscape Lodge in Bali. Situated in one of the secluded areas of the Ubud jungle, the constructing, which shall be accomplished in April 2024, has been designed to “disappear” into the foliage of the dense surrounding vegetation.
A putting landscape, which because of a large window in each of the twenty suites of the property, provides itself to each resident. Suites are stacked on fifteen small towers, all clad in black metal plates and textured panels to subtly camouflage them in the timber.
