With its breath-taking view of Mont Blanc, the Alpaga, an enthralling lodge of the Beaumier group, situated within the centre of Megève, has simply reopened its doorways after an entire renovation.

The Alpaga& in Megève has just reopened its doors after an entire overhaul, with a promise of “tête à tête with Mont Blanc”. The renovation of this 22-room lodge and eight sometimes Megevan chalets was carried out by New York interior design agency Charles & Co, who drew inspiration from the surface surroundings as they created the décor for the rooms, foyer, bar and wellness space. The rooms now mix designer furnishings, velvet accents and hints of wood. Whereas artisans have created custom-made parts, the Charles & Co staff has discovered unique items throughout Europe: classic armchairs are combined with antique picket tables and mohair and linen textiles, as an invitation to heat moments. Each area of the Alpaga exudes comfort: hearth, poolside, and in the two restaurants at the foot of the ski slopes – the Desk and the Bistrot de l’Alpaga, managed by a chef with two Michelin stars, Anthony Bisquerra. To not mention the hammam, the Swedish tub and the sauna, in addition to a reinvented spa and, for the more adventurous, the refurbished health club. On Thursday and Saturday evenings, a jazzy environment settles in the Alpaga bar, for a fair softer environment, conducive to the contemplation of nature.
