Dutch artist, Scarlett Hooft Graafland works everywhere in the world. From one nation to another, in locations of pure magic, she collaborates with local populations to stage installations and dance performances, of which solely these minimalist pictures deliver back the traces. Bolivian salt desert, Malagasy island, arctic and marine panorama, confront and dialogue by way of her work. The obvious formal simplicity of the photographs and the liveliness of the colours evoke sweet encounters. She creates a bridge with documentary images with out replaying her overhanging strategy to landscapes and populations, however by speaking of their relationships, between cultural realities and nature with out borders.
