Simplicity, magnificence, and playfulness are the key phrases of Clap Studio, based by Jordi Iranzo and Àngela Montagud. For 5 years, the Spanish design duo has been creating immersive experiences that enliven the territory, while crossing borders similar to Hong Kong, São Paulo, and Minsk. Their three current tasks, nevertheless, stay in Valencia. In 2022, the town was designated capitale mondiale du design by the World Design Organization and requested the duo to imagine an installation that might double as a transformable area, open to performances and events. The Sea is situated in the America’s Cup Pavilion (Veles e Vents), designed by David Chipperfield. The design is impressed by the waves and the Marina de Valencia. A conceptual sea composed of overlapping modules and ambient lighting that makes use of spherical lights to simulate jellyfish in the water. The grid impact generates totally different depths and provides the public the feeling of being immersed.

Clear aesthetics, a number of views

The interiors of Baovan, whose motto is “Seashore, beers & baos,” also middle around the sea. This restaurant gives stuffed buns impressed by Chinese cuisine. The designers then imagined a food expertise with a change of surroundings, designing a space divided into three atmospheric zones: the forest, the seashore, and the sea. Clients can eat surrounded by ropes hanging from the ceiling as dense vegetation, underneath clouds or in front of a sundown projected on a display that adapts to the size of a table service. Additionally they have the potential for eating beneath the moonlight in a reserved area. For the Worm challenge, it’s time for the third phase of their work, the design object. The duo collaborated with Missana to make a bench that appears like a centipede. This technique of three modules performs with shapes, sizes, and colours for mixtures in line with the wishes and spaces. Clap Studio is filled with concepts and innovation, all the time sustaining robust hyperlinks with performance and flexibility, nature and the surroundings.
