The Hasselt Trend Museum in Belgium is interested in the impetuous have to undress: to dress whereas stripping off. After months of being hidden, wrapped up in snug indoor garments but with none notion of aesthetics, style once once more needs to spotlight our our bodies by stripping them. A perpetual forwards and backwards between “hiding and revealing [the body] that doesn't date from right now.” This is what the exhibition “DressUndress” seeks to realize beneath the attention of its guest curator, Murielle Scherre: “With ‘DressUndress,’ the museum intends to emphasize and contextualize our present look on the bare body.”

As a result of indeed, what is acceptable or not to present? Why was it yesterday and not as we speak? Who decides? Thrilling questions that in turn question gender identities, sexuality, the facility of clothing that conceals, empowerment, inclusion, body-positivity, and lots of different themes, from the late eighteenth century to immediately. A saga of clothing that is informed in 4 elements (“unveiling,” “veiling,” “trompe-l’oeil,” “metamorphosis”) by means of the work of the best of the discipline, similar to Vivienne Westwood, Olivier Theyskens, Elsa Schiaparelli, Alexander McQueen, Raf Simons, and Azzedine Alaïa, but in addition Comme des Garçons, Ann Demeulemeester, Versace, Maison Margiela, and Jean Paul Gaultier.
